Proof School students hosted over a hundred kids and parents from the community for our first annual math festival, full of hands-on math games, puzzles, building challenges, and magic tricks.

Resource Fair for Kids who Love Math


We're lucky that there's a growing array of resources for kids who love math--but which are the best fit for your child? For one afternoon, we gathered together a panel of leading educators, representatives from 20+ organizations serving kids who love math, and more, to help parents and students better understand the landscape of resources.

Ravi Vakil: The Mathematics of Doodling


Ravi Vakil is a math professor at Stanford University who has received numerous awards as a teacher, researcher, and author. In this public talk, Prof. Vakil shared a line of inquiry that began with childhood doodles yet leads to important notions in geometry, topology, physics, and elsewhere.

Art Benjamin's The Magic of Math: Solving for x and Figuring Out Why


Dr. Benjamin is a professor of mathematics and a magician. In this talk, Dr. Benjamin provided a dazzling display of mathemagical entertainment as he fooled around with Fibonacci numbers, investigated infinity, marveled over mathematical magic tricks, and performed amazing feats of rapid mental calculation.

Po-Shen Loh: Big Numbers

March 2015

Po-Shen Loh is a math professor at Carnegie Mellon, lead coach of the USA International Math Olympiad team, and co-founder of Expii. In this public talk, he explored ways in which huge numbers arise naturally from simple-looking situations.

Arthur Benjamin's Mathemagics
