We are getting ready to move.

With glass-enclosed classrooms, dedicated science labs, and ample space for small- and large-group interaction, our future space will reflect who we are and where we are headed.

The design of the space is filled with glass-enclosed classrooms that maximize light, openness, and collaboration, reflecting the way we operate on a daily basis. The main floor is over 18 feet tall, with skylights and light wells throughout the space.

Location + Neighborhood

Location + Neighborhood

Our new campus in downtown San Francisco will be a long-term home for kids who love math.

We will be a 5-minute walk from Powell Street BART and MUNI, within a mile of Caltrain at 4th and King, and accessible to the Ferry Building via MUNI.

Yerba Buena Gardens is just two blocks away, and the city's planned developments in the neighborhood include a 26,000 square foot public park, several new restaurants, and a half-acre public rooftop garden. Our next door neighbor is Covo, a new co-working site.

Our space mirrors Covo's. See how they designed theirs!

Our space is easily accessible to all major transportation hubs (B).

Design Principles

Design Principles

Our space at 973 Mission Street inspires endless possibilities. Here's what we're telling our architects.

Our campus needs to be as versatile as our students. We will have a large activity space, light wells, and glass-enclosed classrooms.

To make our ideas become a reality, we've drafted the following design principles:

  1. Students. Our physical space reflects our belief that students come first, and it's designed for the way they learn, play, and interact.

  2. Mission and axioms. From traveling light to learning in a social environment, our space enables us to fulfill our mission and axioms on a daily basis.

  3. Flexibility. Each space serves multiple functions, classes, and learning principles. We embrace active and collaborative learning, with ample breakout and work spaces. Beyond the school day, our space is designed for public talks, workshops, and festivals.

  4. Growth. We will be growing for the foreseeable future; our design is informed by who we are today and where we're going tomorrow.

We hope you are as excited as we are.

We have been extremely fortunate to find a place with a good location, affordable rent, and, best of all, a space waiting to be fit to our own, very special needs. Once we move in next year, we will have a real home, where the focus will be on coming into our own as a school, with the amazing pedagogy and curriculum that we have already seen.

-Diviya Magaro, Member of the Board and Proof School Parent

The new location is a very short walk to SFMOMA, Yerba Buena, and the Contemporary Jewish Museum. And the space is a blank slate, so we can customize it to fit the needs of our students over the next decade. I'm very excited to see Proof School continue to grow as a home for kids who love math!

-Paul Zeitz, Chair of the Board

Ratcliff looks forward to working with Proof to develop their forward-thinking program. The new campus, focused on 21st century learning, will be a transformative landscape for education. Our design solution will focus on developing an open, flexible space that will foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration and intellectual exchange.
