Mira Bernstein develops and teaches courses in Graph Theory, Algebra, and Geometry at Proof School.
For the past 16 years, Mira has been a teacher and mentor to hundreds of exceptional high school mathematics students at Canada/USA Mathcamp, an intensive 5-week-long summer program. Since 2004, she has served as Executive Director of MathCamp, setting the overall mathematical (and non-mathematical) vision for the program as a whole. She is on Proof School's Advisory Board.
After a mathematics Ph.D. at Harvard and a postdoc at UC Berkeley, Mira taught for several years at Wellesley College and then switched to a career in applied mathematics and statistics. Most recently, she was an investigator on the Oregon Health Study, a landmark study in health economics at the National Bureau of Economic Research.
